Local United Way Kicks Off Campaign with Day of Caring - More than 1,400 volunteers helped kick off United Way of the Capital Region’s (UWCR) 2008 campaign by participating in the 16th annual Day of Caring.
Day of Caring, sponsored by PNC Bank, is the largest one-day mobilization of volunteers in Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry counties. Volunteers will work on more than 130 projects at 79 non-profits.
