The AFL-CIO community services liaison and the PA Department of Labor and Industry provide services to dislocated workers. Rapid response is an early intervention service that assists workers and employers affected by layoffs, plant closures or natural disasters in the Capital Region. The primary goal is to provide workers with the resources and services they need to allow them to find new jobs or get the training and education needed for new careers. There is no charge to the employer or employee for these services, and they are provided regardless of the reason for the layoff.

For more information about local Labor services, contact John Q. Waters, Jr., at jwaters@uwcr.org, or call 717.732.0700.
