The PA AFL-CIO Department of Community Services and United Way of the Capital Region recently developed the Union Community Activist Network (UCAN) training. This training prepares union members to understand, promote and actively participate in union building, community building and mobilizing strategies of the Central Labor Council (CLC). Participants become knowledgeable about existing health and human services and how to raise the social and economic conditions for working families in their communities.
