As part of UWCR's efforts to provide real results to our donors, we offer training to health and human service agencies on how to measure the success of their efforts to help others. Called Outcome Measurement, this concept is being increasingly used by private funders, state and federal governments, and others to produce clear evidence of the benefits these programs provide. UWCR is at the forefront of our community's effort to train non-profits in this arena. UWCR's qualified, experienced trainers provide a one-day program that is a practical approach to documenting such results. The training is offered at a nominal cost, which includes all materials, refreshments and lunch. It is designed to provide participants with the conceptual framework, tools and expertise to be successful. The training offers something for everyone. A 'step-by-step' approach is taught that allows non-profits to develop practical ways to measure program outcomes and use the results. Real-life examples of non-profits that have implemented these measures are highlighted throughout the training. Today's non-profit environment dictates the use of Outcome Measurement to ensure an organization’s success. In coming years, collecting data on program benefits will be as common as the current practice of collecting data on the number of participants.
Dates of trainings will be posted as they are scheduled. For more information, contact Susan Cairo at scairo@uwcr.org, or call 717.732.0700. |
