United Way of the Capital Region (UWCR) holds several special fundraising events during the year that benefit programs and residents in our community. Through partnerships with local organizations, such as the Harrisburg Senators and Colonial Park Mall, we are changing lives for the better in Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry counties.

United Way Days at the Senators: Each year, the Harrisburg Senators partner with UWCR to sponsor this fundraiser. Three days during the baseball season are selected and portions of the ticket sales benefit UWCR. Companies that participate are also eligible for great incentive prizes!

Magical Night of Giving: Each winter, Colonial Park Mall holds Magical Night of Giving, a three-hour pre-holiday shopping spree that includes exclusive savings throughout the mall, family-oriented activities, holiday entertainment and prize giveaways. The mall is open only to ticket-holders, and UWCR receives the proceeds of all ticket sales made at the door.

Volunteer Center Barn Party and Auction: The Volunteer Center of UWCR holds an annual Barn Party. Attendees can enjoy a barbecue dinner, western dancing and an auction filled with great items. All proceeds benefit The Volunteer Center.
