The past few weeks have been incredibly challenging. A blinding spotlight is being shone on the tremendously difficult issues of race and equity across our country. For too long, inequity, violence and racism have been allowed to go unchecked, violating the lives of people of color.
United Way has awarded grants to nonprofit organizations that provide emergency basic needs services to people impacted by COVID-19.
We’ve received calls and emails from donors and volunteers asking how they can help, as well as messages from community members in need of services. Here is a compilation of resources and giving and volunteering opportunities to date.
United Way of the Capital Region would like to recognize the following organizations for making a corporate donation of $10,000 or more to its 2019 fundraising campaign.
United Way of the Capital Region has raised $9,612,575 of its $10,000,579 campaign goal to benefit the community.
