United Way Celebrates 100th Anniversary

Celebrating Our 100th Anniversary

Empowering Independence. 100 Years of Moving Families Forward.

The story of our United Way began in 1921 with dedicated business and community leaders coming forward to create a better life for local residents. One hundred years later, our mission remains the same.

Empowering Independence and Moving Families Forward

We provide tools and life skills for people to take control of their futures through access to health care, basic needs, school readiness and workforce development initiatives. As our community works through the COVID-19 recovery phase, United Way is extraordinarily well positioned to help people get back on track through our proven programs.

Contact to Care

We connect people without health insurance to care and a primary medical home. This includes dental, vision and behavioral health services.

Basic Needs

We connect people to food, shelter, and clothing in urgent situations. Our United Way dedicates more than $1 million annually to these resources.
