Meet United Way Hand-Raiser Rebecca McClure

Rebecca McClure is the vice president of brand and market strategy for Capital BlueCross. She is also an active volunteer and donor with United Way of the Capital Region. She serves on United Way’s board of directors, and is a member of the Tocqueville Society and the Women’s Leadership Network.

Raised with the belief that it is important to volunteer and give back to the community, Rebecca started volunteering as a child and has seen that it is possible to change lives when you help those who are struggling.

Rebecca believes in United Way’s mission and the collective impact model that brings different organizations together to produce a greater impact than if they were working alone. The two areas of need which are most meaningful to her are access to healthcare and school readiness.

Are you a woman who is interested in giving back to the Capital Region? Check out United Way’s Women’s Leadership Network to learn more about this dynamic group of women who are changing our community through philanthropy and volunteerism.

You can also learn more about United Way’s work in the areas of access to health care, school readiness, workforce development and basic needs.
