More Than 200 Local Teens Clean Up City Island for Youth Day of Caring

More than 200 local high school students recently volunteered as part of United Way of the Capital Region’s 17th Annual Youth Day of Caring.

Volunteers completed painting, clean-up and landscaping projects throughout Harrisburg City Island to prepare the park for the spring season.

Members of United Way of the Capital Region’s Bridges Society served as volunteer project leaders and chaperones. The Bridges Society connects a diverse group of emerging leaders through giving and volunteering.
