Money In Your Pocket CampaignUWCR, in partnership with other human service organizations, and state and local governments, is helping increase awareness of the availability of annual tax credits. These credits, which include the federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EIC) and Pennsylvania's TAXBACK program, provide significant wage boosts to low-income families in the greater Harrisburg area. In its eighth year, the campaign offers free tax preparation service to qualifying families. For tax year 2010, we operated 16 sites in Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry counties with the support of 215 volunteers. More than 3,357 returns were filed with more than $4.3 million returned to our community in refunds and credits. This year, Money In Your Pocket is offering three ways to file your taxes - traditional tax help, assited tax help and unassisted tax help.
