Keeping Your Service Local

The Volunteer Center is a program of United Way of the Capital Region. Our mission is to advocate for volunteerism and serve as a clearinghouse for volunteer opportunities and needs in Dauphin, Cumberland, and Perry counties. Every day, we work with a growing network of nonprofit health and human service agencies, environmental groups, schools, and nursing homes to recruit and place volunteers.

Corporate and Workplace Volunteering

Individual Volunteer Opportunities

We work with a network of nonprofits throughout Dauphin, Cumberland, and Perry counties to connect volunteers with opportunities. Click on the button below to see the Individual Volunteer Opportunities currently available.

Youth Volunteering

Studies show that volunteering at a young age leads to community engagement in adulthood. The Volunteer Center has a wide range of programs geared towards introducing young people to volunteerism. We work with individual students and youth service groups.
