Bridges Society
United Way of the Capital Region’s Bridges Society connects a diverse group of leaders through giving and volunteering. Great things happen when we LIVE UNITED!
Community Leadership
Bridges Breakfasts: Hear from local business executives about their insights on leadership.
Events: Network with members of our Tocqueville Society and Women’s Leadership Network (WLN).
Volunteering
Volunteer with other members on projects that make a difference in the areas of access to health care, basic needs, school readiness and workforce development.
Projects in 2023-2024:
- United for Science: Bridges, WLN and Tocqueville members chaperoned third-graders from Thomas W. Holtzman, Jr. Elementary School in Susquehanna Township for a space-themed field trip to the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts.
- Youth Day of Caring: Members volunteered alongside local high school students to help clean up City Island in Harrisburg.
