United Way of the Capital Region’s Women’s Leadership Network (WLN) is an alliance of dynamic women who are changing our community through philanthropy and volunteerism. Great things happen when we LIVE UNITED!
Community Leadership
Conversations With Women Who Make a Difference events feature dynamic female leaders who are changing our community.
Volunteering
Members tackle projects focused on United Way’s work in access to health care, basic needs, school readiness and workforce development. All projects benefit local people in our programs.
Projects in 2023:
- Martin Luther King, Jr., Day: Members and their children assembled health, literacy and interview preparedness kits.
- Summer Picnic at City Island: Members and their children created summer safety kits for local preschoolers.
Giving
In 2023, 711 WLN members contributed $2,466,626 to benefit our community through United Way.
How to Join
- Donate $500 or more to United Way of the Capital Region.
- Check the WLN box on your United Way print or electronic pledge card.
