Tip Off for Tools Scores Big
Bridges Society Raises Money to Help Workforce Development Clients
Fierce Competition at the Cavoli Barn Gives Guests a Memorable Experience
Who needs college basketball when you have 10 local ballers with skills that go on for days? On March 12, United Way of the Capital Region’s Bridges Society held Tip Off for Tools. Our players crushed our $12,500 fundraising goal and raised an outstanding $22,506. The funds will be used to purchase a distinct set of tools for individuals in our workforce development initiative, which helps people get – and keep jobs – with opportunities for advancement. These tool sets will be presented to the inaugural graduating class of the facilities maintenance program at Tec Centro Capital Region, our newest partner in workforce development.
Congratulations to Anthony Worrall from Reynolds Restoration who won the 3-point contest. Anthony raised a remarkable $5,900 and brought his mad skills to the court.
